Therapeutic Powers of Hypnosis: Part 4:“D-hypnosis”

Therapeutic Powers of Hypnosis-“D-hypnosis”

“D-hypnosis”

Hypnotherapy can be transformative for many, but it is important to note that it is no magic wand and for some, it can have little to no effect.  The more you are open and accepting of resources and tools that are designed to strengthen, the more the process will benefit you.

It is not something you simply do to someone, it is working with an individual to help them gain access to their inner wisdom.

The only person who can hypnotise you is you.

Often hypnotherapists call the process “d-hypnosis” because it often involves waking people up from the pre-set trances they already live in.

As with anything, there are positives and negatives. Negative trances have limitations where as good trances are empowering. A negative trance, for example, could be a fear of spiders. A person has been told that they are afraid of spiders because they are scary creatures. Suggestions like these tend to come from teachers, parents and the community. Hypnosis can be used in the for instance by loosening the nut that holds this information in the brain. Once you have this skill you can apply it to most things.

It is not uncommon for those who have had positive results to move on to training to become a hypnotherapist themselves.
